Dr. Ismail Jibrin

Dr. Ismail Jibrin is a well-rounded medical practitioner of international repute, an inventor, and an entrepreneur. He graduated from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Medical School and was part of Nigeria’s medical team to Saudi Arabia in 1993. He also obtained a postgraduate diploma in Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. In 2004, Dr. Jibrin moved to the United States to pursue a medical residency in Internal Medicine at St Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, and part of his training was administered at Johns Hopkins Hospital University Teaching Hospital. He was later appointed Chief Resident with Yale University affiliated residency training at Griffin Hospital in Derby Connecticut. Dr. Jibrin has extensive work experience across national borders and across cultures. He practiced in Nigeria (in Lagos, Kaduna, and Zaria) for 4 years, Saudi Arabia (in Makkah) for 10 years, and the USA (in Maryland, Connecticut, and Arizona) for 18 years. Dr. Jibrin is Board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is amongst the very first American-trained doctors to be board certified in Clinical Informatics. This new subspecialty of Internal Medicine was approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties in 2011 and identifies trained doctors with sufficient expertise to lead improvement in the healthcare system through the design, development, and testing of intelligent computerized solutions for the American health sector. In 2008, he attended fellowship training under the auspices of the National Institutes of Health, America’s highest institution for healthcare research and training. Dr. Jibrin was the Medical Director of the Hospitalist Program and the Chair of the Division of Medicine at Verde Valley Medical Center in the US. He was appointed Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine by Mid Western University in Arizona where he was involved in training medical students and doctors. Under his belt are many publications in Medicine and Clinical Informatics, he is also recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), a Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine (FHM) as well as a certified Healthcare Quality expert (CHCQM). Dr. Jibrin is a founding owner of Human Capital Managers (HCM) Nig. Ltd as well as multiple other companies. He owns US patent no 11323261B1 and has another patent pending.
